"Rubendall, who towers over the rest of the cast with his tall, lanky physique, not only nails Travolta’s iconic dance steps with energy and grace. He also sings those Bee Gees hits effortlessly and exudes charm in his scenes with Jenna Rubaii..."
"Not only does he have the authentic Brooklyn accent, but also the looks, the voice and, most importantly, the moves. Not once did I ever have to worry that he’d flub a step or miss a mark. Every single thing he did on that dance floor was spot-on, executed with charm, masculinity and sex appeal."
"Rubendall is in tune with his character. His voice is charming and he grooves stylishly, just sheer fantastic. His Manero has fine arrogance yet lovable. In this show, he owns the stage whenever he sets foot; indeed, king of the dance floor."
"As Che, the story’s narrator, Broadway veteran Brandon Rubendall proved charismatic vocally and theatrically."
"As Che, Brandon Rubendall is the ghostly narrator in the musical’s machinery, explaining and coloring bits of Evita’s life. Rubendall seems a perfect fit as the wiry Argentine-born revolutionary, his graceful stage presence able to convey both a caustic anger at repression under the Peron regime and sympathy both to Eva Peron and to the Argentine people."
Che acts. Brandon Rubendall supplies the counter-narrative to the official Evita storyline. Che has always been my favorite character in the play, full of cynicism, speaking his truth in every scene. He is relentlessly pesky that way. Watch him, in the beginning requiem, blaspheme away the grief that surrounds Evita's death with Oh, What A Circus, drumming his hands in sacrilege on her coffin. Rubendall's face alone registers dozens of different shades of doubt and bemusement.

"Some of the plays characters are developed more fully than others, demanding acting of the cast as well as dance; Brandon Rubendall’s Al is both tender and tough, a touching and memorable combination."
"From dancer to singer to leading man, Brandon never ceases to amaze me. He can do it all and then some! I have watched his career soar and am proud to be his biggest fan! The best part about Brandon is, no matter what he is doing or where he is at, he always takes the time to acknowledge everyone he sees. Not only is he a star, but his heart and personality shine just as bright!"
